After a successful career in the private sector as a Company Secretary and Financial Controller of a number of locally based multinationals, Ms. Tam decided to renew herself and pursue a career in academia.
Ms Tam joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004 and since then has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses focused on corporate governance and financial accounting. Ms. Tam also sits on several external bodies including the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority and the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

Ms Tam is a graduate of York University, Toronto and City University of Hong Kong. She is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK).
